Madeline Martinez, PA-C, L.Ac., M.S., is Board Certified and Licensed both as an Acupuncturist and Physician Assistant.  She received her Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA.  She obtained her Master of Acupuncture from New York College of Health Profession and also is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program, SUNY Stonybrook University. She achieved academic advanced standing and clinical awards.

Dr. Madeline Martinez, DACM, PA-C, L.Ac. is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, with dual Board Certification as an  Acupuncturist and Physician Assistant.  She is also a NAET specialist in the treatment of allergens and food sensitivities, as well the treatment of emotional and organ channel imbalances.  Due to the limitatations of Western Medicine and years of writing prescriptions for treating symptoms of disease, Dr. Martinez yearned for a better approach to not only treating but preventing disease as well.  Dr. Martinez became interested in alternative, holistic care when her mother was diagnosed with metastatic colon cancer.  Western doctors' approach did not include any mention of dietary changes or supplements.  In fact, their specific answer regarding alternative care, vitamins, or change in diet was that they didn't want "to boost the bad cells."  Instantly she knew that didn't make sense as there are more good cells than bad cells-- why not strengthen the good cells?  She knew their one size fits all approach was not the answer, and 15 years later her mom is alive and well after doing acupuncture and herbs during her chemotherapy, which she minimally experienced side effects if any during her 6-month course of treatment.  Her greatest frustration as a P.A. is writing prescriptions that mainly just treats symptoms and never curing anything, except an infection.

Eastern Medicine (TCM) is preventative and curative, whereas Western Medicine is a one-size-fits-all approach that only treats symptoms of a disease that has started years before it manifests in the body with symptoms.  She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with the future goal of integrating Eastern into Western Medicine in hospitals and clinics which would greatly impact patients' lives and cut health care costs by the billions.

She has practiced as a P.A. for over 20 years in various fields of medicine and surgery, including pain management, orthopedics, neurosurgery, ER, family and internal medicine, telemetry, dermatology, and laser medicine.  She integrates allergy elimination techniques and incorporates hormonal/neurotransmitter regulation to optimize her patients' results.  By integrating her knowledge in eastern and western medicine, she strives to achieve the best possible and successful therapeutic outcome.  Her greatest reward is patient satisfaction and good health.
